Here we go again. Since Covid is still governing our ability for us to plan any in-person competition we are adapting with another Socially Distanced Clubhouse competition – The Social Distancing, Coronavirus Impacting, Please be patient ASH Fall Classic.
But let’s have some fun. Relax and have a Homebrew or three.
Registration opens tomorrow morning, 9/10/21 at 9 AM MST. https://azhomebrewers.org/brewcomp/
General Rules
This competition is AHA/BJCP sanctioned and open only to Homebrewers with the ability to properly label and access the drop-off sites.
This competition is open to all BJCP 2015 Guidelines recognized styles of beer, cider and mead. All entries must be handcrafted products, containing ingredients available to the general public, and made using private equipment by hobbyist brewers (i.e., no use of commercial facilities or Brew on Premises operations, supplies, wort, etc.).
As a result of social distancing, the total number of entries for this competition is limited to 250. Once the entry limit is met, no additional entries will be allowed, and no exceptions will be made.
All entries must be received at an approved drop-off location by the drop-off deadline.
The competition organizers are not responsible for mis-categorized entries, entries that are not received by the entry deadline, or entries that arrive damaged. The competition organizers reserve the right to combine styles for judging and to restructure awards as needed depending upon the quantity and quality of entries.
All judging will be done through several in-person, socially distanced Clubhouse sessions between 10/8 and 10/10. This may span to a second Saturday if CDC Guidelines change, but the intent will be to complete all judging in one weekend.
Judges and Stewards: We Need you! Please review the sessions and sign-up. The more we have, the easier and faster we can conclude the event without taxing you and your palette. If you have never done it, please come and check it out. You will find it is a lot easier and more fun to hone your sensory skills than you imagine. We have moved the entry due date to 10/6, so a few more days to condition those fantastic brews!
