It’s election season not only for the country but for ASH. I encourage all of you to consider serving on the board as it is a terrific way to help the club and its members. While multiple positions on the 2016 board will be open, I encourage you to run for any position – it is a good thing when we have more than one candidate per position. Keep in mind, even if you are unable to serve on the board. there are many other ways to contribute and help out the club such as during Competitions and through Volunteer Opportunists!
The ASH Board
The Board of Directors is comprised of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Communications Officer and At-Large – Operations, At-Large – Outreach and Community Relations, At-Large – Education and Competitions and At-Large – Special Projects.
If you think you may be interested I highly suggest you:
- Review Club By-Laws and Board Positions & Descriptions posted on the ASH website: https://azhomebrewers.org/club-documents/
- Attend the October 4th and November 1st board meetings to see what is involved.
Nominations for board positions are accepted at the November General Membership Meeting and during a period of (7) days after the meeting. We ask that all nominees attend the November 22 General Membership Meeting where they will have the opportunity to talk about why they are running for a position.
Serving on the Board is a way to live up to our mission statement as we continue to:
Preserve and promote the time-honored tradition of homebrewing, and to recognize it as a true art form through information, education, and dedicated practice.
