Brewing and fermentation science education is fundamental to the continued growth and success of Arizona breweries. Given the 120+ breweries in the state and the new Mark Anthony Brands plant opening in Glendale, there is a need for in-state learning opportunities for current and future brewers. A group at NAU has developed a certificate program to train future brewers and fermentation scientists. The certificate is anchored by four bespoke brewing courses which are coupled with a selection of existing courses in the chemistry, biology, and hotel and restaurant management fields. After completing the coursework, students will complete an internship or research project to better prepare them for their chosen track. The people behind the certificate combine decades of experience in brewing, research, teaching, and all combinations of those! Please join us Tuesday September 15th for a virtual meet and greet with the NAU professors who are offering this course. We will have special prizes to give away to a few lucky club members!!
