Michal was diagnosed with stage 2A (after 2nd cancer was found) triple positive breast cancer just before Thanksgiving. While her prognosis is good, this cancer is very aggressive, and Michal has decided that she was going F*CK CANCER. By the time this is all done, Michal will have had 6 rounds of chemo and a mandatory mastectomy. Michal will have to be on a certain regime of drugs for the next 10 years of her life, and possibly have to have her ovaries removed. Even for a badass, hard-working single mom, this road is not going to be easy or cheap.

We invite you to join us for a little Sunday Funday to raise the roof, raise her spirits, and some money for Michal!

Michal is not only a BADASS. She’s a mother, daughter, sister, friend, gym rat, gym wife, graphic designer, a creator of things, an artist, and a lover and consummate support of craft beer and the brewing industry as a whole. Michal is determined to give her 15-year-old daughter, Ella, the best life possible. She continues to inspire people to get in shape and live a healthy lifestyle. Michal’s creative agency, Pi Design supports many of the local and independent breweries you know and love right here in Arizona. She is responsible for many of the beer can labels, logos, promo posters, and social media posts for your favorite breweries across the state! She may not brew the beer, but she’s a part of the craft beer family!

For those reasons and more, we are partnering with the Arizona Craft Brewer’s Guild to raise money for Michal . The Arizona Craft Brewers Foundation (TIN: 81-3388145), a 501(c)3 organization, supports medical hardships and educational challenges of brewing industry employees that live and work in Arizona. The Theresa Sorrels Legacy Fund is part of the Arizona Craft Brewers Foundation. The Fund was created in honor of the passing of Theresa who bravely fought brain cancer and inspired those in the Arizona brewing industry. Administration of this effort is provided through The Arizona Craft Brewers Guild at no charge.

100% of the proceeds from donated kegs will go directly to Michal. The event will take place on Sunday, March 8 from 12pm-6pm at the Quarthaus. Live music on site, as well as food trucks out front!

Please make checks to The Arizona Craft Brewers Foundation with Michal Mason Fund on the memo line. Donation letters will be mailed for donations of $250 or more. Cash receipts will be available at the event for donations of $250 or more. Donation letters will be emailed for those that contribute $250 or more online.

$10 to attend the event! 300 tickets available, limit 8 per purchase. Let’s do what the AZ beer community does best and support one of our own!
