From ASH

ASH holds a monthly general meeting for all members and prospective members. We usually cover club business and then have an educational presentation or speaker. There is always home brewed beer to share as well. Also, food is available and there is a raffle of various beer items and paraphernalia at every meeting.

Meetings are open to the public. If you are interested in joining the club, have any interest in homebrewing or quality beer in general, come to a future meeting and meet others in the club who share your interests.

All General Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month unless it is necessary to accommodate a special speaker. However, in lieu of a meeting in December, the membership holds their annual pot-luck Holiday Party. Also, The October meeting is usually an informal gathering at a convenient location to collect memberships sold solely for Oktoberfest.

• Club Business
• Second round entries for the AHA Club-Only Competition are due. This is for beers that are 'Imperialized'. Don't forget to bring three bottles of your best. One beer will be used to sample and the winner will send on his other two bottles to the event paid for by ASH. See link : Club Only Competition 2008-2009.
• Speaker TBD
• Monthly raffle of beer schwag.
• Monthly Home Brew Competition. A small contest for the best beer, mead or cider at each meeting with a prize going to the winner based on a vote by attending members.

August Meeting - Recap

August 19th, 7pm

• David Schollmeyer gave a lively presentation on his Durango trip to attend the Siebel Advanced Homebrewing Course.
• Gadget night brought out some rather ingenious homebrewing inventions. This night is looked forward to all year.
• Congratulations to Ben Conner for winning the homebrew of the month contest with his Imperial Brown. Ben is the first repeat winner.
